"Rockamphetamin": SprottenRock

The new (well as of August, 2008) album, "Rockamphetamin" by SprottenRock has been in my car for quite some time now & I can't get enough of it!! If you don't want to read further, I'll sum it up in a few words - This album ROCKS!!

The force of this album is immediately noticed when the title song starts off the CD - this has to be my favorite SprottenRock song ever. The energy level is amazing - I can never hear this song enough times to get bored with it. The album also has, what I thought, an amazing aspect - despite having a new guitarist, the band still maintains their classic SprottenRock sound with their well blended mix of rock, punk and ska. This is all highlighted with their signature twist on horror movie type lyrics. Not all are of this type but generally, yeah & something one can still joyfully come to expect from the band. And yet, they're not a goth band, they're an intensely energetic & fun band!!

There is not a single song I have a real complaint about - well, "Brenn, Baby, Brenn!" was a *bit* long but it was the last song so it can be as long as it wants to be.. A few absolute favorites though were "Rockamphetamin" (obviously), "An deinem Grab", "Stadt in Flammen" and "Meine Zeit (Monsta II)". Although I do have one complaint... the booklet had the songs all mixed up all over the place!! This is wrong & evil!!! Songs must be in order, otherwise I'm annoyed, flipping pages around looking for stuff... Yeah, that's my HUGE complaint, I hope the band will take note & never irritate me in this way again. ;)

So, what can I say? SprottenRock continue to amaze and they deserve to be heard by all!! I recommend this CD wholeheartedly and I really hope that anyone reading this will get out there & buy this CD - it totally rocks!!
