Dementi: "Für Heute Reichts" I'd never heard of Dementi before until recently which is a shame because, if their new album is any indication of their previous works, I've missed out on some good stuff!! Since this album has 17 songs I'm not going to go song by song but this is actually a very good album!! I quite enjoyed it and it is not the sort of genre I listen to on a regular basis. It's darkly melodic with strong guitars and somewhat secondary electronic elements. I read that they've been compared to bands such as Paradise Lost, Oomph! and Zeraphine. They've also played with, amongst others, Das Ich, Umbra et Imago, Janus and Unheilig so maybe that will help you out. But to the album itself. The first song, "Leise Stimme" is my personal favorite because it's the most rocking of them all but the second song, "Ein Stück Papier" is close because it has some of the most disturbing lyrics I've read in a long time... if ever!! I love it!! Other highlights for me were "Die Zweite Version", "Tränen", "Schmerzverzerrt", "Menschenkind", "Zweifel", "Bluttat", and "Eine neue Kopie". Honestly though, there is not a single song I didn't like on this CD & that's quite unusual!! So basically... I highly recommend this album to everyone!!! I honestly think that if this album doesn't make the charts & doesn't give this band fame then... there's no hope for the world... well, ok, there isn't anyway but Dementi's new album is VERY GOOD so go buy it NOW & let them know I sent you ;) Mikki 3/06 Get it from: |
