"Engel & Helden": Tinnitus

The third studio album by the band Tinnitus,"Engel & Helden", is now out and it's pretty much what you'd expect from Tinnitus - it's great!!

I've always liked this band , which, if one has to generalize, puts out some really great melodic rock with punkish elements. Well, that's how *I* would describe them. This album is certainly no dishonor to that, it's very well blended and starts out with a typical Tinnitus opening song saying how great they are & it's no lie!! The songs include alot of commentary on how we get abused by the powers above us & wonderment that we allow this to go on. That IS odd.. we should stop that!! But, while speaking of lyrics, one song stands out for me as a curiosity and that would be "1994"... The year isn't mentioned in the song but it is a total rip on this teacher. I've had some really bad teachers but didn't hold a grudge for 15 yrs - he/she must have been something really *special*!!

The only thing I really missed on this album was that on previous albums there were always a couple just in your face, kick ass songs & although all the songs on this album are really great, none quite pummeled me with their ass kickingness (yes that's a word... now)... But they're all still really good & still do rock & have a nice healthy dose of "Fick Dich" attitude & that's all anyone needs anyway, right??!! I definately recommend this album for anyone, no, I mean everyone! They take paypal now so buy it!! Mikki 7/09

PS: Thanks to Piddersohn for a translation of the entire album, you rock!!
