"Das Letzte Bisschen Heilanstalt": Mongofünf![]() The debut album by Mongofünf from Köln, "Das Letzte Bisschen Heilanstalt" is a very hard album with heavy guitars and intermittant screaming and brachial growls. The vocals are fairly diverse throughout the album but, musically, it can sometimes be difficult to distinguish one song from another. I don't know if that is an actual complaint as it could also be seen as things flowing seamlessy but my personal favorites were the more melodic songs such as "Der Mann, der mit den Füßen spricht", "Die Herren der Welt", "Die Liebe liegt in Ost-Südwestia" and definately "Tanz' für mich". There are, however, no "bad" songs on this album. It's all very hard hitting, in your face rock and I liked it alot. I just think that some of the songs could be a bit more diversified to make them more distinctive from one another. That's a minor detail, though. If you like your music hard and heavy, not to mention ballad free, you could do alot worse. Definately give Mongofünf a listen, I think you'll like what you hear. Mikki 5/07 Get it from: |
