What I did in September, 2006...
Site News:
9-18-06: 9-17-06: Again the stealer of bios... this time from MySpace!! But I actually got permission from ZSK... the other I really did just nab :-/ Anyway, bios for Boozed & ZSK are now up so check them out!! :D Mikki 9-16-06: I'd just like to mention that I have added about 10,000 new bands to the list!!! Well... maybe not quite that many but too many to name!!! And Finest Noise Promotions was added to the list of links & they have some AWESOME bands!!! Oh & Modern Noise was also added to the links page because you can dl albums & stuff there for cheap & it helps the bands so you guys should check it out!!! Both those sites I mean!! Yeah, it's 3:30am... I didn't finish adding bands but oh well... tomorrow is another day & I'd simply HATE to have nothing to do tomorrow night when I come home... that'd be... horrible!!! If you didn't catch the sarcasm... it was supposed to be sarcastic... doing nothing is what I do best ;) Mikki 9-14-06: Ok, names for the KIM? contest have been drawn!! No going back now, no more late entries, this is IT!!! Winner of the CD is Kevin from AZ & the next two prizes were giant posters, those go to Manuel in CA & Horst in Germany. Everyone else gets promo cards & I dunno... maybe some Wizo stickers or something, haha!! Anyway, congrats to the winners & everyone gets something so it's all good!! :) Oh & the highest rated song by KIM? was "Stadt der Winde" followed by "Welt Bewegen" & then "Punk Rock Never Dies (But You Will)". Thanx to everyone who entered!! I hope you enjoyed listening to the band & will check them out further!! A new album is scheduled for release this fall!! :) Mikki 9-12-06: Well, it wasn't easy, lol... I wasted most of the day then started translating, then took a nap, then tried again & had to take another nap!!! Translating doesn't agree with me apparently... BUT, I finally finished it, & then wrote it all down in English & even typed it up!! So... it's not quite as cool as a tribute page (& might not be 100% correct though if I know what is wrong I'll fix it!!) but I worked hard on it because of Zimbl's death so please read my The Bates bio!!! or I shall be veeeeeery sad!!!! I mean, ok, taking two naps might make it seem that I didn't work hard on it but I did!!! It was pretty long!!!! But I learned alot by making it!!! They worked hard & got stuff done!!! I was very impressed & I already have one CD & it's great, I plan to buy more!! Please check out the tribute page also... it's very nice!! Mikki 9-9-06 Well, not much has happened recently. I added a bunch of bands I found on MySpace to the list as well as some that were mentioned on our mailing list. Thanx for the help guys!!! I was also going through MySpace & somehow ended up finding a variety of pages dedicated to The Bates. One of these pages is by the webmaster of a tribute page of sorts & his banner has been put up on our page. It appears that the singer & bass player, Markus 'Zimbl' Zimmer, died on June 18, 2006 which is very sad to hear!!
