What I did in October, 2006...

10-25-06: 10-23-06: I don't know what possesses me & makes me decide to translate certain bios & not others but I'm not going to argue with it because the urges to do anything at all are pretty damn rare!! So a translated bio for D-Zug is now up!! The weird thing is that I could have just used their short English bio on their MySpace page but nooooo... I had to go to their main website, find their German bio & translate THAT!! What the hell, you might say... I say this also, but no matter... it has more info & info is GOOD!! Mikki 10-19-06: Well, I'd said last night that I was awaiting a proofread on a bio? Well, I didn't get it so I said, "Screw it!!". I can be very patient but sometimes I'm not... this time I chose to not be patient ;) Well, I mean, really... how bad can it be??? Not like anyone reads my stuff anyway :P SO.... that said, bio for Senore Matze Rossi has been added!! I've said this before (or something close to it..) but... most bands/musical artists have music on their MySpace pages which don't require downloading or anything... I will admit that I was a MySpace hater & didn't understand what the big deal was but... I have found alot of bands on there (or they've found me) & heard their music & liked alot of them... What's my point? Uhhh... well, just that I had actually found SMR on MySpace before I even made an accidental e-mail meeting with him, lol!! It's very weird how things happen sometimes... I know, that's vague but the story isn't important... whatever, just go read the bio because I translated it & so.. that alone should make you want to read it... if only to laugh at me but... it's very sad when I actually work on something & no one reads it :( Wait, who am I addressing, no one reads my shit anyway!! :( If I'm wrong, sign my GB & prove it!! Mikki 10-18-06: Found this band also on MySpace (it's amazing the bands you can find on there!!) but their bio wasn't in English but... ich kann ein bisschen (!!) Deutsch so... bio for Kellerkindt is now up so go check them out!! Go to their MySpace page, their music is pretty COOL!! I have another bio that I translated last night but I was hoping for a proofread on it & it's too late to put it up now anyway... ich muss schlafen!! Until whenever ;) Mikki 10-15-06: More of the same... bios for ashton!, Junias & Recbow have been added!! I would have done more but then I got talking to Nick from Deutschemusik.net & he told me that one of the old Toxsin guys had e-mailed him about a new project called Project-Goldrausch & a new album should be out within days!!! Well, I was greatly disappointed to not have been told about this sooner but it's still good news to hear!! I want to dl the 2 songs they have but one must make an account it'd appear & naturally I used my hotmail addy & naturally, for some odd reason, it's NOT working right now!!! I'm sensing a conspiracy here!!! God freaking DAMMIT!! So... if anyone DOES get the songs to dl, please let me know how they sound!! Aaaaanyway... That is what I did today... well, really, it's 2:30am so most was done on the 14th... "today" has barely begun... Me babbling?? Incoherently?? Never!!! :-/ Whatever... zum nächsten!! Mikki 10-13-06: Well, I've been lazy so far this month!! But this will be the giant post from hell so... prepare yourselves!!! We start off with me getting an e-mail from an old friend Hans Mittendorf. He uploaded a bunch of his music to YouTube!! I found the graphics to be fascinating & the music is quite interesting, it's very abstract, but also very different & well... I don't know... check it out!! The links to these are:
Oilpaint on Music Next in news is that I decided to do more thieving of bios, again from MySpace... so bios for 5Bugs, Taxim, SilverCity, Rusticate, Eat The Gun & Estate are now up!!! All that after reading a 600 page book today & drinking many beers!! That should hopefully make up for the two weeks that I spent doing nothing at all!! Maybe... Even if I just stole the bios & didn't actually write them... but I also added them to the genre pages... That all takes time you know!! Much back & forthing & stuff... Well, ok... maybe no one else is convinced but I think I did alot today ;) I also sent bands messages asking for bios so... I'll have more stuff up soon, I promise!!!
