What I did in July, 2006...
Site News:
7-30-06: 7-29-06: Well, the month is almost to an end & I sadly did NOT get much done but... & (I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, lol) I created a DML MySpace page. Yes, MySpace sucks... I know this but... Oh well... trying to get around so... That's what I did today & yes it's ugly & I don't why it says it's 40, I wanted it say it was 99 yrs old!!! Or something... NOT 40!! Stupid thing!!! I so hate MySpace... I'm sure this idea will just frustrate the crap right out of me but, oh well... I don't have enough things to complain about so now I will ;) Mikki 7-18-06: This is clearly going to be a much slower month than last month which was oddly a smasher!! I did tons last month!!! But ok... I have this myspace page, I never use it but I check it now & then & I think it was yesterday, maybe the day before... anyway, got a friend request from a band called Soon is Now. I checked their profile rather quickly, saw they were from Hannover & had Sonic Front on their friend list, so I added them & thought to look into them more later... Today I got a comment added & it turns out Kai from Sonic Front is a member of this band!! I would have probably realized this if I'd listened to the song there but I was in a hurry... So anyway, you guys should check them out!!! I also received an e-mail from a guy named Zack who gave me links to some German ska bands!!! I thought that was very cool, ska is awesome!! So links to Bulletproof Kitchen, The Busters, Skafield, & Skatoons have been added (they don't all sing in German, btw)!!! Many thanx for letting me know about these bands!! :) I'll do some more about that later, maybe rob sites of bios or whatever ;) But for now, that's enough... Thanx again & please let me know of any bands I am lacking & ENTER OUR CONTEST!!! Have a good night or day or whatever... Mikki 7-3-06: Well, actually I started I created our first ever DML contest page last night but wanted to get some people to proofread it, etc... Didn't get many comments so it's now good to go HERE. I've already encountered some problems with the first punk forum I tried to contact... they have alot of... rules & kind of consider my sort of posting as spam (I contacted a moderator before posting). I think the band fits the categories they stipulate but, I dunno... maybe not... Apparently this sort of announcement is, however considered spam so I have my work cut out for me... If any of you have any punk friends, please pass the word around? I'm starting to think this will not be as simple as I'd imagined it... Till next time... Mikki |
