What we did in January, 2006...

1-22-06: 1-18-06: More non-news from your friendly Webmeisterin... I added more bands from Metal Made in Germany... this is going to take me a LIFETIME!! I only just got through the "D"s... bloody boring work!! I also added links (not bios) to 2 punk bands: Stragula & Sumpfpäpste... They seem to be connected somehow, some guy e-mailed me the links so... maybe I'll write him asking for a "story"... Sumpfpäpste is sounding not too bad but not so sure about that Bier song by Stragula... will dl more!!! Bis zum nächsten... Mikki 1-16-06: Awww, Tillmann added a link to us on their page & it says: deutschmusikland ist eine plattform für ausschließlich deutsche bands. hier werden zahlreiche bands aus verschiedenen genres vorgestellt - die seite wird von drei amerikanern gemacht - die jungs geben sich große mühe und machen einen verdammt guten job, yeahhh !!! See that??? We do a damn good job!! Well, when we/*I* do anything at all ;) But... what we do is good so... uhhh... yeah, that's a good thing!! :) Should I be translating that?? Doubt it since I don't think anyone reads the news page... you want me to, let me know... I'm eagerly awaiting the flood of emails ;) Yeah... that's sarcasm, haha!! Mikki 1-15-06: Yup, it's proving to be another slow month ;) But I did translate a bio last night so go read everything you ever wanted to know about Tillmann!! No, really, go read it!! I'm still suffering the effects of sleep deprivation from having typed it up until 2am & I want someone to read it, dammit!! ;) Cya!! Mikki 1-8-06: Well, in anticipation of this being another slow month for me, as I'm feeling frightfully lazy, I will share some small something I did ;) I added links to 4 bands (not bios, just links). So feel free to check out: Bergmeister, Donnerkopf, Rough Silk and Totentanz. Thanx to Marla & some dude named Achim (actually, I think he's the Bergmeister manager or something...) for the info ;) Ugh... I'm still working... That list of bands at Metal Made in Germany... well, I have almost none of them so I have alot of work... I'm about to start the C's... obviously I'm not going to list all the bands I added HERE... subtract one or two & you'll see what I've added :-/ I did do a bit of a stealthy theft though... bio for Burden of Grief is up... dunno know why I chose to slow down to add them, there were other sites that had English but I just rushed on past them... Whatever... Hopefully the band won't kick a fuss & sue me for stealing their info!! I said I took it from them!! Anyway, onto the C's... "Cacumen" that sounds like a part of an egg you might barf up... isn't albumen part of an egg??? & cac... well.. ok, I've been doing this longer than I should be, I think... Back to work!! Mikki 1-2-06: Well, happy new year everyone!! This will be a better year than the last one, it just HAS to be!!! Damn well better be anyway!! ;) Ok... anyway... this dude on the mailing list was asking about a band called Chroming Rose... I had a site linked & it was no longer active so I did some more looking & found tiny scraps from 2 sites & they are now all here in one & in English but... there are a couple discrepencies... dates... I thought some dude had left & then he left later... stuff like that... it's all mentioned though so no one is taking anything I say as the word of god... I'm just looking stuff up & translating it!! And my German isn't that good so... anyway.. Chroming Rose is there... if anyone can explain this all to me, you can be god for a day!! I'll pray at your feet ;) Yeah, yeah, I'm a blasphemer, get over it!! Have a good 2006 everyone!!! :) Mikki |
