What we did in April, 2004...
Music News:Atrocity: From their mailing list - "Finally! No more waiting! 26.04.2004 ATROCITY presents their great epic work about ATLANTIS which lets us into the times of rise and fall of the legendary sunken continent ATLANTIS. Even today, the myth about ATLANTIS is one of the biggest mysteries of man's history, and ATROCITY has turned it into their own story. Alex Krull: "The ATLANTIS album is already a milestone in the history of ATROCITY! I haven't spent so much time and emotion with a theme since the BLUT release as with the myth of ATLANTIS and all the legends concerning the theme. Musicwise we gave 100% to offer the audience a killer album after quite a long break! On one hand, the album is quite gloomy and mysterious; a dark atmosphere, which is a necessary to describe the doom of ATLANTIS and the whole world. We use a great amount of classical and epical elements in our music and the album turned out immensely heavy - it is raw, bombastic, and it kicks ass! On the other hand, the track list includes hymnic songs to make the listeners float into the stream of wonderful tones. Therefore, ATLANTIS is neither a one-dimensional nor a monotone album; it is rather an album with a musical concept of an atmospheric soundtrack with metal songs! Of course, there will be grumblers who will start asking silly questions because they simply don't want to understand what the band is doing, and they try to turn the band down by interpreting the whole thing in the wrong way. All I can say is: FUCK OFF! We don’t care! We compose music for ourselves and for our fans, and we, as well as the fans, will enjoy the album, no doubt!" The CD includes a multimedia part as well as background information to each of the 15 songs, moreover, the COLD BLACK DAYS video clip. The ATLANTIS album will also be released in a noble limited edition version with a special digibook which you just have to get! Around the release date there will be a couple release events (please check the dates!).

18. + 19.06.2004 Skeleton Bash, Innsbruck (AUT) www.skeletonbash.com Die Optimale Härte: The punk band Die Optimale Härte made an interesting decision recently... Apparently the singer wanted to sing in English & other parts of the band (their manager, mainly, I think) thought German was better so a compromise has been made... They now have a sub-band called Stage Disaster, which performs, & is recording, in English & DoH is still playing songs in German. Good luck with that guys! Die Toten Hosen: Die Toten Hosen's scheduled "Friss oder stirb" Tour dates are as follows:
10.12. Bremen - Stadthalle 5 With expected new Studio album to be released in October of this year.
Leaves' Eyes: From Mastersound Entertainment- "The new LEAVES' EYES Single "Into Your Light" on 19th April in stores! Revival Inch: More news from the punk rock front! Revival Inch just announced the release of their new CD "Joystick Life". It is available for sale on their website at http://www.revivalinch.de. They also took second place at a recent band competition & thus have a place scheduled for Rock im Vogelwald on either the 9th or 10th of July. Very cool!

4-27-04: 4-25-04: Chandeen!!! Long ago I made a bio for Chandeen and well, I lost it while uploading it here. So I have re-written it, and I beleive it's actually much better, not as short as my previous one. So check out my Chandeen bio, and check the band out themselves. They may now be gone, but they still rule.Nick Diak 4-23-04: An updated bio, that was sent to Joe by DTH management, has been put up HERE & it's good stuff!!! :) I ALSO just added a bio for a band called Axxis & this seems to be my theme for the month, lol, I asked permission to use their pic & bio (though the bio is kind of a compilation of info I found on their site...) & really did not STEAL it ;) Cuz they said not to... Anyway, that's enough of that lesson for this month I think! :) Mikki 4-20-04: Well, well... the time you've all been waiting for *drum roll*... Joe's Interview with In Extremo is finally up & ready for your viewing pleasure! Hope you like it! :) Mikki 4-16-04: Hope you all got your taxes in on time ;) Anyway, oh yeah, Greg sent me a bio for Kickdown. That was so cool! Thanx Greg! AND my friend Marios, from Greece, sent me a bio for Eloy! It's kind of short but he's great at condensing stuff into what is important & what is not ;) Btw, the Eloy site says "no stealing pics"! I got permission to use that pic by e-mailing them! Although I joke alot about how I'm thieving sites, stealing pics & bios... if a site says "don't do it" I ask for permission & it is usually granted... I do NOT think it's cool to "take" stuff if it's stated that they don't want you to (yeah this is a message about someone who will never read it, lol)... But you guys can pilfer from our site all you want! :) Thanx again to Greg & Marios! Mikki 4-13-04: Whoo hoo!!!! An interview with Metallspürhunde has been received & uploaded! They have some really good music, you guys MUST check them out! Go on! Go listen to them! Are you... waiting for something? Just do it! But, ok, maybe some are too lazy or rebellious to follow the path to goodness I'm leading them towards, well, fine... I did do something else, actually... I did it yesterday, even, I stole a pic & bio from the Carlos Peron site & put it on ours! I am such a criminal! You can find the info on this very interesting man HERE Mikki |
