The greatest English language site dedicated to nothing but music from German speaking countries!! Well... maybe it's not the greatest or the prettiest or the ABSOLUTELY most informative... but we try!!!
This site was created by three friends with one common interest. German Music! We decided that we could possibly create something that would help us (and perhaps others in the world) discover other bands similar to our musical tastes. Therefore, we came up with DeutschMusikLand.com. Now it is just me, Mikki, so not much gets done but thanx for stopping by & we, I mean *I*, hope you'll discover some great bands here from DeutschMusikLand ;) - Mikki

Well, 2 months have gone by with nary a word but.. I was told about a German music concert in Tucson so had to attend & managed to get an interview with the band! So check out my interview with Madsen. Sadly their US tour is now finished so this won't actually be very helpful in getting people to go see them but listen to their music & if/when they come back you'll be prepared. They're a great live band! So go check them out & hopefully they will be back soon!! Wow! It's been almost a year since my last post! TBH, I thought that was my last post until an interview option came my way that I didn't want to turn down! So... please check out my interview with Under[base] from Kiel. I wasn't in Kiel for it but that's where they're from.. Very new & interesting experience - this was done using Facebook chat, lol! It was pretty fun & I hope you will all check it out & buy their album which is coming out on September 23, 2011 in Europe & hopefully soon after, for the rest of us, at FiXT. Ok, clearly this site is going to hell, haha. But I did add this guide to German Christmas to our list of links. Perfect time for it! Bio for Schweltmerz added. OK, they're not exactly from Germany but they are from a place where most speak German so it counts ;) The bio is funny, too, so it simply HAD to be done! That's right, I haven't done anything in 2 months!! I've been completely unmotivated despite telling people that I would do stuff... people I was supposed to do stuff for or with or, well... I just have to say, I'm sorry to those people but I have seriously lost my edge here or even desire to do anything at all... BUT, I did finally add some bands on MySpace (yes, it's been 2 months since I bothered with that...) so here they are!! *Drum roll, please*: GAFFA, Rocket in a Pocket, Sidewinder, School of Rock Timmendorfer Strand, V8wankers, Rufmord, Extramensch, Rohbau, Blindtext and When Heavens Collide have been added to the list. Now wasn't that worth a 2 month wait? I thought so!!!
One important bit of news is that Outsiders Joy have a new album out called "Yes We Can!" & it's awesome & is on CD but also an awesome atomic red vinyl so you should definately go buy it/both at Hulk Räckorz!!!! Also the new Wizo album should be out next spring at the same location & that's gonna be sooooooo kick ass that I have to wear napkins around my face to keep from drooling all over the place!! It's quite the fashion statement, I highly recommend it so I'm not the only one walking around looking like that!! Ok, at the Rodeo I met 2 guys while I was finishing my beer before going inside the show grounds & one of them wrote the name of his band on a piece of paper I gave him & I actually kept it & remembered & looked them up & they're really great!!! Well, I'm back from an amazing trip to Germany to see the Ruhrpott Rodeo & although I'm not sure I quite feel arsed to put pics up here or write all about the weird things that happened (well, those I can remember anyway..), it was still totally brilliant!!
