Zweckinger:

LOOSELY translated from Zweckinger's bio page:

Zweckinger are five guys from Bavaria in a classic rock formation who sing whatever comes into their heads. When hearing them one might think immediadtely of the Spider Murphy Gang, others think of Haindling. While neither comparison is exactly incorrect, they're also somewhat incomplete. Zweckinger rock and rolls powerfully with comprehensively styled compositions that range from "Landler" (some country dance thing or something) and robust rock which keeps one on a perpetual emotional roller coaster ride.

Above all, the band's lyrics have profitted from the participation of author, composer and director Hans-Christian Müller who, among others, has worked with Gerhard Polt, der Biermösl-Blosn, den Toten Hosen (for example, "10 kleine Jägermeister") and der Couplet AG.

The first CD, "Münchener Grant", appeared in April 2004 and has, up to now, recieved positive reactions in every way. Jim Sampson and Jürgen Herrmann have already introduced some of the songs on their program, "Nightlife auf Bayern". The band also officially presented the album on May 12, 2004, to an enthusiastic audience of over 250 in Munich.

With their participation on two Samplers ("Alpenpower Edition"/Saturn and "Hart & Zart"/Mundart Ageh), on which some of the most famous artists in their style of music are represented, Zweckinger's name is becoming more well known all the time. -Mikki 6/05
