Trafofreunde:

Trafofreunde began in 1997 with founder, Tobias Tasch and Sebastian Kühn and this same year their first demo tape was created. In 1998 Christin Wenzel replaced Sebastian Kühn and the 10-track album on tape and CD-R, "Der Strom braucht euch" was made.

A short time later Trafofreunde became a one man band, consisting solely of Tobias Tasch, presenting his brand of Electro, Avantgarde, NDW-Music to stages locally then spreading outward.

The music itself is made using sequesters, synthesizers, samples and German lyrics. The lyrics are hard even for Trafofreunde to describe. He likes to describe them using the terms, "Fucking-Master-Pop", "Pseudo- Geschrei" and "Wechselpop".

Up to now, Trafofreunde has produced 2 albums, the aforementioned "Der Strom braucht euch" and 2001's "Zufriedenes Herz" on CD-R/MC, as well as various demos, a 2002 compilation contribution to "Made in Germany Vol. 3" on the Firecracker label and self produced videos. The CD's as well as the video for the song, "Grün & Blau" recieved some good reviews and a general bit of popularity.

Trafofreunde is currently working on a third album which should be ready in the early part of 2003. -Mikki 1/03
