![]() Silentsphere:Taken directly from their MySpace page:Melodic fragility with modern mosh pit compatible sound walls. Is this possible? The answer is given by Silentsphere. Among melodic female vocs und powerful shouts piercing keyboards and rhythm orientated riffing of a more modern kind of metal can be found. Silentsphere's style can undoubtfully be named as versatile and multi-layered. Smashing Nu Metal to Nu Rock meet progressive elements and melodious, dark vocals. Simply diversified alternative metal with grade for out of control. In the spring of 2004 Oliver Goesch (dr), Oliver Jahn (r-git) und Martin Ulrich (keys) detected common interests for music and found out that these styles are rarely represented in northern Germany. Together they formed the base of today's Silentsphere what was aiming more on Alternative than Nu Metal at that time. After several changes in the line-up during the first year Thorsten Greiner and Zhao Ying Di joined as bass and guitar player to kick some ass together with the rest of the band. Concerning the style everything become harder, more modern, simply better. Elena Papastergiou followed for the singing part. By Ying Di returning to his home country China an important, creative member and good friend unfortunately leaves the band. But the band decided to go on on as a five-headed piece for the moment. After several gigs in Kiel and its surroundings and their first demo the band threw new stuff into the pit by releasing their EP Awaken at the fall of february 2007. Now these songs and more are undoubtfully being presented live. Concerning this Silentsphere doesn't limit on rocking shows to break out, but they also like to play unplugged to make the audience really feel the grooves. In the spring of 2007 Elena's and Silentsphere's ways parted for personal reasons. But with Anika Brügmann a singer was found that beat all expectations. The five didn't need long to get on legs again to burn the stages of this country. The style Silentsphere write and play music won't be probably found in the north soon. Beside the freaky contrast of hardness and fragility many other element can be recognized in their songs: Prog, Rap, Electronic etc. It cannot be described, it must be seen and felt on stage. You should be curious on what songs will be produced and come out to the fans. Finally that's the issue: Play live on stage the see the audience going up and down. Keep on jumpin'! -Mikki 6/07 More at: |
