Revival Inch:

Revival Inch was founded in 1993 in the deep south of the German republic. After a short experimental phase, and some band reorganisation, the direction the music should go in was clear: Melodic core punk- faster, more energy charged punkrock with melodies that even after a first listening were hard to get out of one's head and loaded with harmonious singing. At the same time, most of the lyrics were in the English language though recently songs in German are also being sung.

The first successes weren't long in the waiting. In 1996, at the delicate age of 17 (average age of the band members), the band won third place as up & coming young band at an Oberschwäbisch rock competition.

In the meantime, the band played numerous concerts. Though mostly throughout southern Germany, they played also in Austria as well as Switzerland. At festivals, in live clubs & youth centrals the band opened for, among others, Sportfreunde Stiller, Marky Ramone & the Intruders, Bambix & Super Gouge .

As this was happening, the band was also recording demos, contributing to various Sampler-CD's, the first (I guess) of these was "Freedom" on the "Loony Grooves" Sampler by Loony Grooves Records in 1998.

In 1999, Paule P. (guitar & vocals) left the band and they had to search for an acceptable replacement. After some time this was found in Noce who was welcomed as a new member. From this time on the practices became more intense and the will and ambition of the band rose more every day. Recently the band took part in 8 young up & coming band competitions & were awarded with 2 first places, 3 second places & 3 third places.

Based on this and their appearances with some pretty big name bands, they quickly made a good name for themselves which was simply improved by their Sampler contributions such as 2002's "Millennium Madness Vol. III" by Vitaminepillen Records and 2003's "Street Attack Vol. V" by Noisegate Productions.

In May, 2003, Schorschi (former singer & guitarrist for The Plums) joined the band as an added guitarrist. Now thought to be indispensable, his first live show with the band was at the recent Live 'n' Loud Festival that included bands such as Terrorgruppe, Not Available, Flyswatter, etc...

The future already has some stuff in preparation for us... The song, "A lot of Time" will be released on a Sampler sometime this winter, two big shows are coming up this fall as well as a big 10 year anniversay party. Much to look forward to, watch for more news and updates on their site! -Mikki 8/03
