Reimzig is not only a band. Reimzig is also the story of six Hamburg youths who one day, in August 1997, decided to give meaning to their lives by pursuing the incongrous style of speak-singing with German lyrics. Not, however with the classic Hip-Hop formation but rather as a genuine Live-Band that uses speak-singing as a stylistic device.

The idea of blending Pop, Hip-Hop, Rock, Funk, & Ska may sound chaotic but the chaos was pre-ordained, all the musicians coming from completely different musical backgrounds & is part of their thing & is, in fact, their recipe for success. Their debut single, "Tach Guten Morgen" hit like a bomb!

Their first album, "Such Dir was aus" invites comparisons & then dismisses them with the next track. Their lyrics are all essential, going for fun & thought-provoking that are not boring or too high minded. -Mikki 3/02
