![]() Plague Angel:Taken directly from their MySpace page:PLAGUE ANGEL originally was a sole sideproject of guitarist, bassist and drummer of the Progressive Metal band Sorrow's End (2004-2008, R.I.P.) that played together from time to time. Briefly before the recording of Sorrow’s End’s first full length album under the direction of Seref-Alexander Badir and René Berthiaume (Equilibrium) at Helion Studios Munich, the band split up because of several strokes of fate. PLAGUE ANGEL finally became the new main project. After vocalist Jens joined the band, the quartet started to discover its own style which is best described as a combination of various metal styles and elements without limiting the band to one specific genre, neither musically nor lyrically. Groove meets blast, speed meets down-tempo, anger meets light heartedness… It’s just Heavy Metal the way we like it and we do exactly know what we want to do. PLAGUE ANGEL's always working on its live performance and searching for gigs, too. After an EP called “Can you feel the plague around you?” that was recorded in March 2008, the first full length album is called DEADBORN SOLUTIONS which was recorded, mixed and mastered from April to July 2009 at Rebound Studio, Nuremberg - under the direction of Simon Hammer (Schistosoma). Unfortunately Jens left the band in September 2009, so we had to look for a new and adequate vocalist. Fortunately we could hardly believe that we got so many requests for the job. Soon we knew that Benedikt "Bino" Rathsmann (Ex-Spiritual Decay) would be the perfect guy for us: The jam-sessions just have been outstanding, the chemistry between all members has been perfect. You'll see! Cheers. -Mikki March, 2010 More at: |
