Novalis:Novalis is a German darkwave/neofolk band made up of Marcel Hinkel (synths) and Stev Schumann (guitars & vox). The music is comparable to other neofolk acts such as Death in June and Current 93.The first Novalis release was the 6-track EP First Cadence on the Black Rain label (home of the harsh electro group Feindflug). The release was an impressive atmospheric neofolk release, but all the songs were sung in (heavily German accented) English. The first album of Novalis, also released on Black Rain, Last Years Calling was released in 2002.
