![]() No Decay:No Decay was formed in 1993, Potsdam - East Germany, by Daniel Bose (vocals), Markus Gabriel (vocals, synthesizers), and Jean-Christoph Borner (synthesizers). Their musical interests were similar to each other, having grown up listening to bands such as Soft Cell, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Bronski Beat, New Order, and Human League. Since they didn't want to imitate their idols at all, No Decay created their own kind of music influenced by these bands.A 4-track CD Deep was the first ever release of the band in 1994. With this self-produced e.p., they gained a foothold in the music business. In 1995, they were able to support the German band, Blind Passengers, on their tour. Another demotape in the Summer of 1995 by No Decay. They also played at some festivals with popular bands like such as Elegant Machinery, S.P.O.C.K, and X-Perience. During this tour, they moved into their own "Green Garden" Studio, where they began working on their debut full-length CD. In September of 1997, Synthphony Records signed No Decay to a 13 track, full-length CD entitled Escape From Usual Life, which would be released in the Winter of 1997. The second full album by No Decay, Supernova, was released May 22nd, 1999. -Nick Diak 4/02 More at: No sites available at this time. |
