 No Comment:No Comment is a German synth pop group with angelic sweet vocals and hint of romantic beats. The most indentifying trait of No Comment is in fact the beautiful vocals of Franziska Kalb that receives much praise with each release the band did with her. Her music is complimented with René Ebner on Drums and Thomas Kowalzik on the keyboard.No Comment first hit the scene in the late 80ies by releasing tapes off their label, Psyquil-Records, and getting much needed radio play. In 1992, the band releases an E.P. and won an awards and recieved praises such as "Cd of the Month". In 1993, the first No Comment album, Drawback Infect, was released which lead to the release of a few singles for the next few years until the band split. In 1997, Tom and René got back together and decided to lead No Comment in a new direction, which lead them to the vocal stylings of Franziska. 1999 saw the light of a new No Comment album, Painkiller. In the year 2000, Markus of Wolfsheim fame found No Comment on a compliation CD and immediately helped them with their new single I Wont Cry which lead the band to television spots and interviews. Currently the band has just released two new CDs, Underwater Tales and Little Boy, and are about to tour with the imfamous electro/industrial group, Apoptygma Berzerk. -Nick Diak 1/02 More at: |
