With dark, thick bass lines, tranquil melodies, and frantic percussion with epic strings, Miami-based German DJ Markus (b. Markus Schulz) has risen to become one of the best trance music and remix artists of this day.

2004 marked Markus' debut at #32 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ. With dark, brooding production and DJ sets, DJ Markus has created a particular, and unique sound in trance music that was only previously heard in house. In March of 2004, Markus released his ''Coldharbour Sessions'' compilation, and the foundation that was laid out for what has been called the next greatest thing in the world of trance.

DJ Markus has had his work released on some of the most recognized companies that lable the electronic dance music genre, such as Electronic Elements, Renaissance, Bedrock, and Armada records. DJ Markus has worked with other popular artists such as Jewel, Fat Boy Slim, Depeche Mode, Madonna and other notable figures that span the musical spectrum. Hard, dark, yet sensitive then moody, DJ Markus has always managed to deliver a beast of a mix, all the while staying ahead of the times, and inspiring a new generation of electronic music producers and artists. Markus' success has also been elevated by his international radio show ''Global DJ Broadcast'', which has become one of the most listened to shows on the web. Global DJ Broadcast can be heard every Sunday night from 1-5 AM, on Miami's WPYM FM 93.1.
