eXTReMe Tracker

Although the band "Verlorenen Ideale" had been started a couple years before, it wasn't until it's revival in Feb. 2003 that things really started to happen. At this time Mad Dog and Kauschi rented a practice room and prepared it for big sounds. Although still a duo, they practiced industriously for about a half a year before they decided that they really needed to find a singer. Mad Dog posted in the guestbook of "Aplejuce" that they were looking for a singer and the next day they heard from Latzi. Latzi was enthusiastic about this ne project although he was also still front man in another band, Snoopy Killin' Peanuts.

The three of them practiced more but due to an overly sensitive neighbor there were some problems involving the police and further renovations to the practice room were needed to shut this person up. Thanks to him, the song, "Hey Neighbor" was created.

Due to Latzi's enthusiastic and diligent songwriting, the band soon had a set list of 17 songs though Kauschi did contribute as well. At the end of 2003, Latzi parted ways with his other band and dedicated himself solely to "Die Verlorenen Ideale". At this time the trio decided to change their name to "Lost Ideals" and to start the search for a bass player. They quickly found one but almost just as quickly he'd left again. After heavy deliberations they decided to ask a former band mate of Kauschi's, Bott'n, if he would be interested in playing in their band. After a few jam sessions, Bott'n accepted the position and in March 2004, he'd officially joined the band.

Now they were a true "band" but it didn't stop there! They'd hoped to use Klaus on trumpet and Heiko on trombone as guests but apparently it worked so well that they became permanent members on this group that for so long was just two. The 6 of them finally had their first show in Schweinfurt at Blow Out 2004. -Mikki 6/05
