![]() Inchtabokatables:Inchtabokatables began in 1991, using 2 violins, a cello, bass & drums. Their first album, "Inchtomania" came out in 1992 & was follwed by "White Sheep" in 1993, both of which were a mixture of folk, punk & rock.Their third album, 1994's "Ultra" however had some gloomy ballads that had the press wondering if they were in fact a grave/tomb band, even w/ their middle ages turbo sound. Fears of the Inchies being "goth" were soon dispelled by the release of "Quiet" in 1997 which has been described as a hammering industrial attack with rumbling bass, loud beats, squealing violins & raging strings. It even hit the German charts for a time. This was followed by their fifth album, "Too Loud" in 1998 which was comprised of grooves, sub bass & staccato riffs. The change in style didn't chase the fans away, though, quite the opposite. The concerts were a tribute to different styles & one could find punks, folkies, metalheads & teeny boppers all at the same show. In 2001, "Mitten im Krieg" was released on Strangeways/Indigo, produced by Moses Schneider & it was rather experimental with seductive/intoxicating sounds (or so they say)... It's now 2002, & the band has been together for 11 years, in form or another. Side projects are being worked on & a long requested live CD should be out soon. More at: |
