In June 2000, Polydor took notice of the band & work began on their first EP, "6". Shortly after it's release in May, DJ Def Rock left the band. This mutual decision was based on musical differnces & the band has never regretted it. Their music is hardly influenced at all by other German bands but rather bands such as Rage Against the Machine, Faith No More, Deftones & those in the Nu-Metal scene though singing in English was never an option considered as they feel they can better express themselves in their mother tongue. Ideas that aren't political but can be critical, though they say their criticisms stem from personal experiences & thoughts... In October 2001, their first single, "Monochrom" appeared & included a bit of a surprise as it was in fact a duet w/ Dero from Oomph! who the band had met while on a support tour with them & the Farmer Boys. Their debut album, "Glas" came out a couple weeks after the single & also had some guest appearances, this time with Julia from the Lemonbabies & ex-Dreadful Shadows singer, Sven Friedrich. It was produced by Thommy Hein in Kreuzberger Studio which also did production for bands such as Scycs & Dreadful Shadows. A tour through Germany with Pain in the Ass followed & they are currently on the "Laut Gegen Recht- Tournee 2002" w/ Sportfreunde Stiller, Emil Bulls & others... -Mikki 4/02 More at:
