![]() Hassmütz:When Hassmütz started off with their obnoxious street metal German sound in 1992 they were definitely ahead of the current "zeitgeist", and it was hard for the majority of the people to catch onto their early vision. After deciding to go on as a fourpiece in 1997, things began to take off. Their self-financed EP Zweitausend, (visually pepped up with Meruader's Jorge Rosado), achieved a "7 out of 7" in Rock Hard, and with numerous live shows together with Agnostic Front, The Farmer Boys, Rinderwahnsinn, and Böhse Onkelz, they finally gained some of the respect that had previously eluded them. Influenced and motivated by the energetic live shows of their friends Merauder and Stuck Mojo, Hassmütz worked even harder on their own live performance, and in turn their dedication also had a lasting effect on their material. Growing musically for a decade now, Hassmütz has managed to keep their music uncompromisingly heavy while including emotionally-drawn lyrics that work as a sort of generation statement for these sick and chaotic times. Their debut album Tausend Echte Feinde... was recorded (with a little assistance from their friends Rykers) at Andy Classen Stage 1 in Bühne, and is the perfect vehicle for Hassmütz to receive the attention that they so deserve. Tausend Echte Feinde... will convince all the non-believers who before ignored the band when they verbalized their music with German lyrics, and will also reach thousands of new fans not yet farmiliar with the band's infectious sound.
