GS:

Translated & edited from the official site:

The story of GS began in 1998 when 9 or 10 kids met in a friend's basement after a sports event to make some hard trash music, something akin to Slipknot w/ acoustics (this musical style, btw, has continued pretty much to this day). The jam session lasted about 3 hours and then they all went off to do different things.

About 2 years later, five of the once 9-10 got together again. This collaboration worked together for 5 days and in the spring of 2000 the band, "Germän Slädder" was formed under the direction of Quörk Smith, Lähnz Rodriguez and DJ Eihk. The hard work of writing & producing paid off during a much acclaimed (:-/) concert in Quörk Smith's basement where 15-16 enthusiastic audience members left in extasy.

Oddly enough, right after this, DJ Eihk decided to leave the band for undisclosed reasons and Lähnz R & Quörk Smith retired for a "creative pause". In the beginning of 2001 they were joined by Skott Barth and then Iän Tänker. This thus created quartet sequestered themselves in a practice room in Gieszerstrasse 16 until they had arrived at their musical zenith.

At this same time the band changed their name to "GS" after some serious misunderstandings of the "Germän Splädder" name by the Gieszer people in general...

Everything was going fairly well until someone decided to give themselves the prestigious tag of "Manager". With this action, the band systematically started to fall apart. This was most certainly the reason why Iän Tänker left the band in shock...

At the time of Iän Tänker's leaving, the band was in the middle of preparing for their first official live appearance with outside guests. Lähnz R. had to then, rather against his will, take the sticks in hand because the initiator of this disaster, the "manager", couldn't find a replacement in time. The concert, which at the same time had Quörk Smith running off to the US, was total crap.

After the loss of their guitarrist & the firing of the useless "manager", the band found themselves at a new starting point. Under the friendly guidance of Dr. H.P. Marx, young Seargent Pät Pätterson & Iän Tänker No. II (direct successor of the original) joined the band & a new era had begun. The drummer left the band as a friend of the GS family and the new drummer has filled the position very capably...
