 Dinner Ratz:Translated from their MySpace page:Handmade pop-punk from Essen... Although the Dinner Ratz were founded in November, 2001, they've been playing in their current line-up since June, 2006. Their songs bind exceptional melodic and melancholic qualities with pop-punk in the English language. Their previous and current concert successes in front of small and large audiences confirmed their commitment and through the refining of songs they have developed their own style. Furthermore, they engaged the help of long time friend, Timo Bultmann, to support their plans as manager and booking agent. Dinner Ratz play exclusively their own material. The songs are alternately written and composed by all the members of the band. In their songs they tell, with irony and humor, about what they've experienced and what surrounds them. Their musical direction can be described as a mixture of punk, pop, rock and alternative. The character of their songs extend from classic high school punk to critial, provocational lyrics regarding manipulation through the media and violence on TV. Successes up until now: Diverse concerts with, amongst others, ZSK, Tomte, Neuser, NURSO and Frank Popp Ensemble. Appearance at Essen's largest city festival, "Essen Original". Release on the Sparkassen-sampler 2003/2004/2006 der Stadt Essen. Release on the sampler for the magazine, "Soundcheck" in February, 2007. Release on the sampler Hitpack New Rock on the EMG-Music label in March, 2007. Successful participation on the EMERGENZA-Festival in 2007.
