[die!]:

Taken directly from their MySpace page:

[die!] from Bergisch Gladbach are one of the few formations who managed to close the gap between German lyrics and hard, modern music, with influences of gothic and industrial. Lyrics break every convention, filled with a huge amount of fantasy and mystic and combined with the charismatic voice of frontman Oliver Jung.

In summer 2005, [die!] celebrated their 10th birthday. When starting up in 1995, Kai Engel, the actual keyboarder of the German band "Brings", completed the formation until 1996. Since he left the group, [die!) plays in the classical 4 person line-up. In 1998 and in 2000, two self-produced records were released: "Debut" and "Schluß mit lustig". These times, the band was still searching for their own style. Already when the German tour started in 2000 after release of "Schluß mit lustig", they started working on a music version of Wolfgang Hohlbein’s "Der Greif", which was released in 2002 at ZYX Music and is to be seen as the turning-point in music. With the two songs "Wunderschön" and "Kein Ausweg" on this album, the public interest in [die!] started. With the idea of a concept-album about a fantastic vampire-story in their luggage, the band signed the contract with Black Bards Entertainment in 2004. The name of the album is "manche bluten ewig" (which means "some bleed eternally"). It contains 11 songs plus intro telling the story of the journey of a swordmaster – a vampire – throughout the ages. While travelling, he keeps searching for the reason of his unfaithfull situation. The album is completed by professionally filmed full-length videoclip of "Geh mit mir" and a "making of" video. It is an emotionally loaded, mystically packed time-trio, a very impressive story about power, hunger for love and for death. While writing the new songs, the band was inspired by the master of classic vampire-novels, Bram Stoker, as well as by the modern classics from Wolfgang Hohlbein ("chronic of the immortal") or Brian Lumley. Most of the songs were written from the point of view of participating protagonists, pointing out their mental condition. The production of the album "Manche bluten ewig" started, followed by concerts with Oomph, Crematory, Schandmaul, ASP, Schelmish and others.

In addition to this, the band held first place in the Top-100-Charts of the online-mag "Pommesgabel" from March till end of August 2005. The album is available in all German record-shops. A succesful tour through the big German, Austrian and Switzerland clubs together with Megaherz followed. The single-version of their hit "Geh mit mir" was released in cooperation with the famous producer Jose Alvarez Brill (Producer of Witt/Heppner, Wolfsheim, Xandria,UNHEILIG and others). In September 2006, [die!] released their actual album "Stigmata", which started controverse discussions in the music press, just like "Manche bluten ewig" did before. [die!] prefer to play hand-made music; emotionally loaded rock-music of the "neue deutsche Härte" and German lyrics combining mystics and fantasy with common, worldly themes.

Since August 2007 frontman Oliver leaves the band after 12 years new singer is......
