![]() The German synth band Beborn Beton was formed in 1989 by Michael Wagner and Stefan Tillmann, (though six months later Stefan Netschio would join as the vocalist). Beborn Beton's first release would be the tape Pyre in 1989 that was limited to 250 copies. 1990. Carlos Person, a producer of Wolfsheim recorded three Beborn Beton songs, but only "The Edge of Wisdom" would be re-recorded and released. A 22-track tape called Scythe was released July of 1991, and Beborn Beton began to surface on compilation releases. In 1992 Beborn Beton signed a contract with the Subway Records label, and began working on their album Tybalt, which was released in 1993. Their second album, Concrete Ground was released in 1994, and contained new material, unlike Tybalt which was just a "best-of" of all their songs from their tapes. In the beginning of 1995, Beborn Beton terminated their contract with Subtronic, and got into contact with Strange Way through the manager of De/Vision, Lorenz. In 1996 another Beborn Beton album, Nightfall, was released. Tybalt saw a re-release in 1997, the same year their fourth album, Truth, was released. Currently, Beborn Beton has just concluded their role as support for the "World In Harmony Tour" for Apoptyma Berzerk. -Nick Diak 5/02 More at: |
