 Autumn Angels:Copied from their label bio, not sure when it was written:Today's world with all of its negative excesses ... and the loneliness and inner emptiness that results in it, along with the occasionally found glimmers of hope are made a subject of discussion in the songs of Bianca Martin and Sven Hollosi. Autumn Angels come from Thüringen and their first CD "Shadow Of Your Soul/Icy World", which has been released not many weeks ago, gave proof of their manifold creative work. Dark electronic tracks and rhythm-sequences, laced with Sara Noxx-like spoken vocals are combined with masterly composed Dark Wave-songs; all in all obviously rooted in the 80's. Not least these songs come to life by the excellent singing of the duet, the skilfully used contrast of Sven's powerful voice and Bianca's almost angelic vocals. Variety is important for Autumn Angels and already after listening to the first few notes of the CD, it is hard to believe that "Shadow Of Your Soul/Icy World" is only their debut. -Mikki 3/03 More at: |
