Aquagen:Aquagen is a dance/techno group formed by Olaf Dieckmann and Gino Montesano. In 1999, their single, Ihr Seid so Leise, blasted onto the scene and dominated both the Dance Charts and the Media Control Charts (where it reached a ranking of #3). In December, the record reached "gold" status after selling 400,000 copies, and was nominated for both the Echo 2000 and VIVA Comet 2000 awards. Their follow up single Party Alarm also enjoyed as much success as Ihr Seid so Leise, and reached #23 on the German charts. Their debut album was Abgehfaktor, which surfaced into the Top 40 of the Media Control Charts. Their next single, Hard to say I'm Sorry, peaked on almost every single chart: 1st place on the ODC top 40, the #1 song on DJ playlists, #1 on 5 offical dance charts, 5 on the Media Control charts, and top 10 in the sales charts. Their second album, Weekender soon followed. The band has just released their newest album, (a remix album containing all their very successful songs), in September of 2002, which is called Nightliner. More at: |
