![]() ![]() Anti-Körper's story began when Phill (drums) & Ritchy (singer, guitar) met in 1987 for the first time in Lütjenburg & ended up founding amusing bands w/ the illustrious names, Absoluter Nullpunkt, Tod und Wahnsinn & Braindead. In 1993 the two moved to Hamburg & got together with Peter (lead guitar) who'd previously been in Sheep on a Tree, Hauduggen, & Savage Roses. This was followed in 1996 by the joining of Nico who'd been involved in various odd projects. In 1997, they received an offer from Amöbenklang to record an album & work began on their first album, "Raus". In 1998, a second goal was achieved when they went on a large tour with Skeptikern. This was followed the same year by the release of "Raus". They contributed many songs to various sampler projects & in 1999 they did a split album with Hungary's Aurora called "Rukensturcli in Kukenstrasse" which had the two bands translating & covering four songs by one another. It was released on K-Klangträger as a limited 10" or CD. They also appeared on the "Valogatas" CD with the song, "Welche Richtung?" which was a great honor as it was a "best of" album by Aurora. (It was on the Hungarian version anyway, it didn't appear on the German version released by Hulk Räckorz). Their second album for Amöbenklang, "Köhlbrand", was also released in 1999 & dealt mainly with life in Hamburg. In 2000, "Volxdroge III" came out followed by the sampler, "Partisanen 5". This sampler is perhaps unusual only because Anti-Körper had previously declined invitations to appear on similar samplers but because it was for Goldi of Day-Glo they accepted, contributing the song, "Was Geistes Kind". In 2001, "Rukensturcli in Kukenstrasse" came out in Hungary with bonus videos by Aurora. They recently went on tour with the German punk band, Der Steinkopf who they'd met on a previous tour of Russia & with whom they're planning on releasing a single in the near future. This year has also been a busy one: A 4-song EP, "Butz Dankwart" was released on K-Klanträger & the band is currently working on a new album which is also due out this year. Check them out!- Mikki 10/02 More at:
